Overview

Bugsy & Meyer's Steakhouse, nestled within the iconic Flamingo Hotel on Las Vegas Boulevard, offers more than just a meal—it delivers a journey back to an era of classic Vegas elegance. The steakhouse’s art-deco ambiance, rich with velvet-lined walls and subtle nods to mobster glamour, creates a setting that feels both intimate and grand. It’s a perfect escape from the casino buzz, a haven for those seeking refined dining amid the city’s spectacle.

The heart of Bugsy & Meyer’s is its unwavering commitment to quality, especially when it comes to their signature dry-aged steaks. The Tomahawk Ribeye and Bone-In Ribeye showcase exceptional marbling and expert preparation, seared to perfection with a smoky, buttery finish that highlights the natural flavors of the prime cuts. Equally impressive is the 10-ounce Filet Mignon, tender and cooked precisely to order, a testament to the kitchen’s skilled handling of classic American steakhouse fare.

Yet, this steakhouse isn’t solely about beef. Starters like the 17th Century Onion Soup and the Lobster Bisque reflect a deep respect for culinary tradition, balanced with modern finesse. The Caesar salad, often praised by diners, stands out with its bold dressing and crisp freshness, setting a high standard for what the remainder of the meal promises.

Beyond the main dishes, enhancements such as King Crab Oscar and Blue Cheese Fondue add layers of luxurious flavors without overwhelming the palate. The sides, including Brussels sprouts and sautéed mushrooms, complement the proteins seamlessly, showcasing thoughtful pairings that elevate the entire dining experience. For dessert, the Chocolate Cigar Cake ends the meal on a note of rich decadence, inviting guests to linger over every bite.

The service, according to frequent visitors, balances professionalism with genuine warmth. Staff members demonstrate precise knowledge of the menu and wine pairings, crafting a personalized experience that caters to steak lovers and culinary explorers alike. Despite occasional minor lapses under holiday crowds, the overall attentiveness remains commendable, ensuring diners feel valued and well cared for.

Bugsy & Meyer's Steakhouse rightly appeals to an audience drawn to fine dining with a nostalgic twist—those who appreciate a meticulous kitchen, an elegant environment, and a sense of exclusivity away from the Vegas hustle. Whether celebrating special occasions or savoring a deliberate evening meal, this restaurant stands as a hidden masterpiece amid the Strip’s culinary scene.

In conclusion, Bugsy & Meyer’s is more than a steakhouse; it’s a carefully crafted experience where history and high-end cuisine intertwine. Its prime location in Las Vegas pairs perfectly with its menu, which pays homage to classic steakhouse roots while refining every detail. For anyone in search of exceptional steaks served with flair and warmth, Bugsy & Meyer’s stakes a claim as a must-visit destination.

My Fiancé and I made a reservation here from thanksgiving day and it was amazing! Food tasted wonderful(and I am a very picky eater), and service was great! It is definitely on the spendy side but it was well worth it. The only complaints I have is the smell of cigarette smoke coming from the other parts of the casino, although they can’t do anything about it that was a bit of a downfall. The other thing was the amount of food you get it a lot and you can’t take it with you so make sure you go on an empty stomach.

We ate here on Thanksgiving night. The restaurant was pretty busy, but the service was still good overall. Our server did forget my lobster bisque, but it was an understandable mistake given the holiday rush. The food was alright—nothing exceptional—but considering how busy it was, it made sense.

We were brought to the back of the restaurant which was so nice and quiet compared to the casino. You would never know you were inside the bustling Flamingo. The only loud noise was coming from the kitchen and there was some hooting and shouting back there. It was unappreciated. The bus girl didn’t know how to pour water into the glasses and splashed it all over the table each time and hit the side of my glass with the glass bottle. Our waiter was amazing. He knew how to serve properly. He gave us fantastic service and the food was delicious. The portions were nice and not too large. I had the onion soup which is a favourite of mine and this one topped the list for me. I followed with butternut squash stuffed chicken Elizabeth with chicken jus and fingerling vegetables on the side with a smear of cranberry sauce. The flavours and presentation were amazing. We chose two sides to share which were sautéed mushrooms of mixed varieties as well as a side of Brussel sprouts which were delicious. We had a delightful bottle of Stags Leap which complemented the meal. I would highly recommend the steakhouse although some staff need to be educated on proper table service and etiquette while serving this level of cuisine.

Outstanding service from the moment we sat down at the bar through the entire dinner service in a perfect private area. Always go for the special!! Caesar salad was one of the best I have ever had! Lobster was huge and cooked to perfection! 10oz fillet was done perfectly mid-rare!

Bugsy & Meyer’s Steakhouse – A Hidden Masterpiece in the Heart of the Flamingo Las Vegas, for all its glittering lights and culinary fanfare, still holds a few secrets close to the chest. And nestled behind the grand pink façade of the Flamingo lies one of the Strip’s most delightfully unassuming treasures: Bugsy & Meyer’s Steakhouse. Walking through the art-deco-inspired entrance feels like stepping into a bygone era of Vegas glamour—a speakeasy draped in velvet luxury and mobster mystique. But the real story here is what’s served on the plate—and let me tell you, it speaks volumes. I began my evening with a classic Caesar salad, dressed with remarkable balance—creamy, sharp, and whispering of anchovy in a way only confident kitchens dare attempt. The bread service, often overlooked in lesser establishments, here deserves its own standing ovation: warm, crusty, and paired with butter so silky it should come with a warning label. But it was the 16-ounce ribeye that stole the show. Perfectly marbled, flame-kissed to a medium-rare blush, and seasoned with the kind of restraint that tells you the chef trusts his meat—and rightly so. Each bite melted with buttery intensity, carrying both smoke and depth in equal measure. To close, I indulged in a chocolate cake that was unapologetically decadent—layers of rich ganache and moist cake stacked with finesse, reminding me of why dessert should never be skipped, even when you’re full. The service? Five-star worthy, without question. The staff was polished and warm—attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without pretension. It’s rare to feel both like a VIP and an old friend, yet that was the tone of the entire evening. Now for the bold statement: Bugsy & Meyer’s outshines Gordon Ramsay’s namesake steakhouse and—dare I say—even edges past the legendary Golden Steer. Yes, I said it. This is not just a restaurant. It’s a revelation hiding in plain sight. To the team at Bugsy & Meyer’s: Bravo. You’ve earned a loyal devotee. I’ll be back—not out of habit, but out of hunger for excellence.

Steak was very tastey however got a little tough about 75% through. Ceaser salad was good (would have been better with some cheese). Service was good however I told the bartender the steak got tough and he ignored me; i would have appreciated atleast a "I'm sorry". Still I would go back there again.
